On Thursday, November 29, 2012 Microsoft announced that they are launching their new Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet in January 2013. This tablet is powered by Windows 8 operating system. Panos Panay, general manager of Microsoft Surface has posted the release date of Microsoft Surface Pro Tab on the official blog of Microsoft.
Panos Panay said about this new tablet that “On the inside, Surface with Windows 8 Pro will come with Intel’s next generation Core i5 processor. This chip will give Surface with Windows 8 Pro a graphics boost for its 10.6. Surface with Windows 8 Pro will support Pen input. This is an amazing feature for all you note-takers or document editors out there, especially since it has expanded capacitive and digitizing technology we’re calling Palm Block that will prevent your handwriting from getting interrupted if you accidentally place your palm on the screen as you write.”
Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet carries 10.6 inch wide touchscreen display along with 560 x 1440 pixels resolution. In this tab Microsoft is using Core i5 processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000. It also includes a full-sized USB 3.0 port. The Surface Pro has 4 GB of RAM with dual cameras on the front and rear facing. Both the cameras are 720 pixels HD LifeCams with TruColor technology. It has a nice inbuilt memory i.e 64 GB and up to 128 GB. It also has other apps like Windows Mail and Messaging, SkyDrive, Internet Explorer 10, Bing, Xbox Music, Video, and Games. Isint cool!
The new Surface Pro weighs only 903 grams and will be available with the price tag of $899. You can also pre order it. Shipping will start in January 2013.
