Lalit Modi is the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India since 2005 and Punjab Cricket Association and now specially known as the Chairman and Commissioner of the Indian Premier League. Lalit Modi was born in November 29, 1963 in Delhi, India. He was born into a well established business family. His father Krishan Kumar Modi, is Chairman of Modi Enterprises, a 40 billion Rs business empire which was founded by his grandfather. He completed his schooling in Shimla and Nanital and after school he continued his studies in Duke University, NC, United States.
He was President of International Tobacco Company from 1987 to 1991. He is credited with the creation of the IPL(Indian Premier League). He is also the President and Managing director Modi Enterprises. About his family, his wife name is Minal, who is nine years older than him and they have three children Karishma (Minal’s daughter from her first marriage), Aliya and Ruchir.
