Last week, the news was out that few HTC new Android smartphones were held up in U.S. Customs for potentially violating an ITC exclusion order. These HTC Smart phones also includes the One X and upcoming EVO 4G LTE. It was also barred from entering in the states.
HTC also revealed, “We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval.” Now HTC delayed launching the new HTC EVO 4G LTE Smartphone. The company disclosed that, “Each imported HTC model must be reviewed by Customs and will be released once Customs officials have completed the inspection. Some models have gone through inspection and been released to our carriers customers. We don’t have the status of each specific device model at this time, but we are working closely with Customs. We remain confident that this issue will be resolved soon.”
On 19 May 2012 HTC revealed good news in the Taiwan Stock Exchange that, “Some of our products have passed the review and have been delivered to our telecoms operators’ clients in the US.”
Now, HTC is not sure about the product that which Smartphone model they are going to approve for US distribution. This step of HTC will give some peace to the mind of buyers in the market. At least they can make a good choice for them.
